EXECUTE SUMMARY

Here is the executive summary...

CITE offers a unique opportunity to bridge gaps that exist between disciplines on campus. By combining culture, community, and design CITE creates a new forum to display the work and accomplishments of students from every college and program within the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. More than just a showcase of student talent, the magazine seeks to break barriers that exist between disciplines and create new relationships. These partnerships allow students to explore previously intangible potential. Within the growing network of society, individuals can no longer operate in an isolated environment, CITE seeks to become the beacon that brings individual students together to form a unique interactive and collaborative effort to better serve the needs of the campus as a whole. It is the magazine’s unique format, content, and identity, that create the platform for these connections to be made.

By offering this unique insight into the machinations of the University, CITE also hopes to engage participants throughout Milwaukee as a whole and contribute to the effort in bringing the city to a new level of appreciation on a national level. Every person who picks up the magazine becomes a participant in this effort and we encourage everyone involved to become active in engaging this process of collaboration. No longer can periodicals exist as isolated identities and CITE hopes to take the first step in breaking down the tradition of the individual user experience and create a new forum for individuals to come together in a way never possible before. The future holds infinite potential for creating new connection and CITE aims to be the leader in this effort. By allowing the reader to become a user, and actively deconstruct and reconstruct the content of the magazine, they become active participants in the collaborative process that is CITE.
