The key to making a good publication is clear communication and sticking to deadlines. Nothing is more frustrating than not knowing who is supposed to be doing what and not having pieces turned in on time. We are doing an awesome job so far! Lets keep up the great work!
February
12 – Content list creation | This will be printed and passed out so there is no confusion about what people are doing
(come prepared to list details of the articles ie. who is writing it, how many photos and what of, if there will be any illustrations, any additonal info about the spread, article length... etc)
26 - Call for artists deadline
(someone needs to post this on craigslist. It should be early so we can go through the submissions and choose what we will use)
March
3 – All edited content / photos / illustrations due to designers | Delegation of space, number of pages for each piece
26 - All designed spreads due to production
April
2 – First proof due | Everyone needs to go through it and copy edit, look for errors, talk about potential changes
Make second proof, view it, ok it
14 – Final Document Due / Send to Print
29 – FUSE!
